It is taking so long to organize my art room, but the good news is that I don't have to share it with other functions. It is all art room and I am excited. It is a challenge though because it is situated in a room that has slanty ceilings, so I really don't have full height walls to hang things or to place tall furniture.
We painted the room the fresh green color that currently, I cannot get enough of. The end wall has a window and enough height for a bookcase on either side. The right side wall is only 36" high and the left wall is only 71" high. On the 71" wall we placed this black hutch to house some of my art supplies. John found the cool baskets to place bottles and things so they didn't look so messy through the glass doors. We bought the hutch at World Market and put it together ourselves. We only ended up with two extra screws when we were done!

The white cabinets, although not so pretty, are so handy. I have filled them with plastic shoeboxes filled with all of our different paints and tools. They also give me a surface to stack things on.
I can't show you the 36" wall, because it is still buried and strewn with stuff. I am close to organized in this room, but not quite. More photos as the work progresses. If you are the kind of person who needs to read the small print, you can click on my photos for a closer look!
I received a ton of questions about starting up Art Continuum now that I am back in OH. I think about it often and I even have planned it on paper a few times, but to tell the truth, I am so enjoying a life of impromtu outings and no stress, no deadlines, that another AC just hasn't taken form.........yet.

Thanks for sharing Ginny! :) You must be pleased to be getting it all set back up again!

Wow Ginny! The art room looks really organized so far. Bird by bird right? The views from your lovely new house are really spectacular. I love the winter reading spot.
