Big, fluffy flakes have been falling from the sky all day. It is the lovely kind of soft snow that mantles the pine trees and makes that Currier & Ives sort of winter scene. We are enjoying it immensely. Go figure that John would love Ohio winters after spending his life in sunny California.
My dear friend
pj dutton, has posted a couple of pictures on her blog of two
trinket kits available from Small Studio. They are so cute. Go have a look.
Have you ever thought about what you would do if you had all the time you needed and no children to take care of and no job that you had to go to every day? I used to think about this all the time, but now that I have time and no have-to list, I find it more difficult to focus on what I want to do. There are so many choices and so many ideas, so many books and so many places beckoning a visit.
I have been reading quite a bit this winter, actually this past year. Last month I read Sarah's Key, The Invisible Wall, The Secret Life of Bees and World Without End. This month I have read Nella Last's War, Daily Life in the United States: 1920-1940, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (hey, I needed to read something very light!) and right now I am reading Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. I am so enjoying this reading time this winter, although it has taken me a few years to not feel guilty about just sitting and reading.
As for doin any art work, I have so many ideas floating in my head that nothing seems to get out front to be done. It will come.
Sherri Camperchioli sent me this little package in the mail "just because". She made the sweet little box and beaded the typewriter "G" key. The package was stuffed with little ephemera treats. What a nice surprise. Thank you.
So go forth today and enjoy your Sunday.
How beautiful is this from Linda she is such a talent.

I struggle with my time, well, all the time!! Even though I seem to have lots of time to myself, I find that it really doesn't add up to that much time in one chunk. I have a hard time jumping into an art project unless I know I have enough time to finish it. Happily, I've gotten better about this, but for a while it was really holding me back.

Great piece from Linda!
Oh yes, I wonder about what that would be like to just have time... time to sit and think without being jumped on would be nice. But then, when I travel and have time to think, I wish I was being jumped on by my kids! Go figure.
