Friday again and I am still having fun with the "Hooked on Houses" challenge. When I think about joining the Hooked on Fridays challenge, it makes me realize how much I like certain things and how they are repeating in different forms in my home. Today I share with you my cubbies. The first one is in a corner of my art room.
The one above houses a few handmade books I did a while back. Note the framed black "Ginny". That was a place card we did for a dinner party. I love this idea and tiny frames are readily available.
Pottery Barn sold these large cubbies about 12 years ago. I bought several and painted them white to use for display in my old store. One I kept for myself to display my vintage English Post Box Banks.
A local scrapbook store went out of business and I picked up this sturdy cubby for just a few dollars. The tins are surprisingly roomy. I keep embroidery floss and needles and assorted small things in these drawers.
Okay. So the above antique unit isn't technically a cubby, but the drawers are labeled like a cubby. The drawers are really deep, so they hold quite a bounty of embellishments for assemblage work. I keep having to convince my husband that this unit would not make good nail storage in the garage.
I am all about these kinds of cubbies! Not to mention containers and boxes and the like. You have such a great collection. Maybe you should start official art house tours!
