I have been just hanging around afraid to go outside because I have Spring Fever. Really. Still. The medication makes me sleepy and silly.
But things are pretty happy and lively around here, The garden project is about half complete. The team of guys are in good spirits with the great weather. They laugh and joke among themselves and with us while they work. It looks like the new plantings are going to accomplish our goal. Because all the yards on our side of the street are very open to the golf course behind us, everyone walks through our yard. If they have dogs with them, it can be messy. We laid out flower beds to define our yard without interfering with the view. Yesterday, the guy with the two big dogs walked to our property line and then turned the other way. Same with a couple of walkers. They went back to the path instead of cutting through the yard.
We had quite a bit of company this weekend which I love. I always try to have back-to-back gatherings. It is so much easier. One house cleaning. One grocery shopping. Half the cooking and chopping and preparation if I plan properly and twice the fun. John and I work so well as a team. I am telling you, he is the perfect partner.
More new stuff on/in my E
tsy shop. I have been having so much fun with my Etsy shop, trying to figure out what works and how to set it up to please visitors. Thank you to everyone who has been so loyal to my Emporium over at
Small Studio, too. Although, John has been doing the Post Office runs, so I am not sure he is happy with the amount of orders.
We have been planning our summer and fall trips. Daughter Amy and family are coming in July for a visit. Yahoo! In Fall we are going to FL to see my two oldest grandkids and John will be fishing while we are there. End of summer we will be in CA for John's son's wedding.
There is something about Spring and also September that makes one want to plan and reorganize and freshen things up including our social lives.
The garden work sounds like it certainly did accomplish your goal. That's great!
We had planned to go to Phoenix now but then Dick got ants in his pants about the cruise. He has family there and in SoCAL.
Ginny, what is that fairy? I used that image to do a digital ATC about a year ago but right now I'm clueless about where on my computer it is and where it came from. Interesting!
