Daughter Amy and her kids are visiting for a couple of weeks. Her husband will arrive tomorrow for the last part of their stay. We have been very busy playing and enjoying each other's company.
We caught a jar full of lightening bugs or fireflies. These are quite the novelty for the Nevada bunch.
We visited the local nature center which has a huge Bald Eagle that we were able to view quite close up. It is much bigger than I expected. Turtles were there in abundance which was the big hit with the kids.
We went to see "UP". What a cute movie with a poignant back story.
We experienced a dramatic and sudden storm with lightening and thunder and a downpour which only lasted for about 45 minutes and then the sun came out for the rest of the day.
We made ticket bowls.
We have completed one 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and have started a new one.
We have had a cook-out at Uncle Tim's evidently so the cousins could have a squirt gun fight and get everyone soaking wet. Great fun.
Today the Nevada bunch took off for The Renaisance Faire and I will spend the afternoon adding new stuff to my etsy shop while it is quiet and calm here.

Ticket bowls! that's a new one to me. Of course, I've never considered buying a roll of tickets either. :-0

Hi Ginny, your ticket bowls are really cool. I have a roll of 35mm film that I pulled up into a vase type container that's very similar to the ticket bowls. I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle in years. My parents used to be big fans of them, they'd do them on the kitchen table and cover the works in progress with a pig sheet of clear tablecloth plastic so we could eat and what not without disturbing the pieces. :)
Sounds like you're having a lovely summer, the lightning bugs make me miss them!!!

Very cool ticket bowls! Glad you are spending some time with family! That is sooo important. The kids will treasure time @ grandma's house!
