Wild strawberries, sugar berries straight from the trees, ice cream on a cone from little stands and corner stores, corn on the cob...those are more memory taste-ations from when I was younger.
Now it's tuscan melons, heirloom tomatoes, fresh herbs and nectarines.
California is less season-y than back home so the food doesn't seem as different throughout the year like when I was younger. :)

Yummy! I was looking at that photo and thinking "balsamic vinaigrette" ;-)
Summer is done here in The Hague. The leaves are starting to change, it's very windy (gusts of 38 MPH today) and cool enough to need a jacket. I know we'll probably still have a few nice days, but really, Autumn is here.
