I have been getting cabin fever. Two weeks of flu and colds have taken their toll on my energy and I haven't felt much like doing anything.
But then the phone rang this morning and son Tim suggested that John and I meet him for lunch downtown Cleveland. I perked right up. What mom doesn't love to be invited to lunch by one of her kids?
Off we went to the Hard Rock for lunch, feeling very cool....well, actually feeling pretty cold. It was 25 degrees. We had a lovely lunch and chat over the noise of the rock and roll of our youth. Prompted lots of fun comments from John about our past history. Thanks, Tim. This was such a nice, spontaneous jaunt.
When we got home, the mail had arrived and the new Pottery Barn catalog was waiting for me. I want to move into the Pottery Barn catalog. It is always so inviting and unique. Did you get your copy?
This page is one of my favorites:
Click on the photo to enlarge and enjoy the wall treatment of old documents, maps and blueprints. So cool. I know I am easily amused, but do any of the rest of you like the PB catalog?
Ahhh, it's good to get out and about when you've been cooped up too long, especially when you've been sick! Outside air blows off the cobwebs, clears the brain a bit.
We don't get any catalogs but I must admit to switching over to pottery barn's website after reading your posts in the past, to browse amongst their goodies. I like the flavour of their stuff.
Mostly though when I think of Pottery Barn I am reminded of the sitcom Friends, and the episode where Rachel pretty much copied an entire page of the catalog for the apartment she and Phoebe shared. Funny. :)

I love Pottery Barn catalogs! I pore over the pages to check out all the details! Love Anthropologie stores too but just heard the ones here in Cinti all closed:(

Ah, yes, I would move in a minute. I love the oversize nature of so many of their things. So dang expensive, though...

Hey Ginny, so glad to hear from you. I had thought that maybe you had gotten sick. Hope you are regaining your strength.
I said the same thing you did when I saw the Pottery Barn wall. So Cool!! I used to get the catolog years and years ago and loved it back then. I'm going to have to start getting it again. Lot's of inspiration.

I too used to get the catalog but I guess the paged me as a looker not a buyer. Your post reminds me to go into the store and get one...to dream mostly because our house is too small for most of their stuff.
I'm glad to hear you were up for an outing Ginny!
