Today is my first born's birthday. There is something special about one's first born. He is the child that I learned to be not only a mother but a grown-up. His father and I were just 20 when Wes was born and determined to prove that we were not too young to be parents. He survived it and survived it well.
Moms have a different relationship with each child.
Relationships change throught the years as circumstances change and as both mom and child get older. There will always be a special place in my heart for my first born son, Wes. Happy birthday.
Wes has five really wonderful children. Above he is with his wife, Wendy.
LOL...I was thinking "Gee, 20 is so young!" but I only turned 22 a week after my firstborn son was born. I do think we were older than current 20 yr olds though.
