Thank you for all the good wishes for John's recovery. He is feeling all warm and fuzzy now from those messages. I am getting pretty adept at changing bandages, He no longer cringes when it is time for me to change them. The visiting nurse program stopped after the Tuesday visit when they deemed me competent.
Last year, Teesha and Tracy Moore came and taught for us for a weekend. (They are coming back next year!) It was great fun. The book we made in Teesha's workshop was a hardcover journal with pages we made from that wonderful Fabriano 140 lb watercolor paper. We filled a number of pages during class using the generous materials that Teesha handed out. She had color copied pages from her journals for us to cut up so that there wasn't a lot of time wasted trying to decide what to put down. It was a really fun workshop and everyone's books looked great, but of course we didn't have enough time to fill even half of the book. I put it aside. Until yesterday. I haven't played much lately so I used the book as a warm-up exercise, joyfully cutting and adhering scraps from my own stash.
And the last page below is still in progress...
How do you get back into the creative groove?

Ginny, I've been away and mostly off a lot of the net. My best wishes to John, though I know he has quite a competent nurse now.
I always think trying something new is a great cure for the slump times.
