I have been invited to participate in an artistic exhibit. If my entry is chosen it will travel around the country with others to sewing expos. More on that when I have the info in front of me. Right now I am dreaming of all the possibilities and not thinking of the pressure to make it wonderful and on time.
My directive is to alter this torso using a minmum of 80% recycled, reused, repurposed material. I can spend no more than $20 on additional supplies. I am excited to get started on it.
Today brought more new product to the store. You asked for Distress markers and Dylusion spray paints and here they are:
Look at all those luscious colors!
New stencils include these absolutely different and wonderful new 6"x6" designs from Mary Beth Shaw.
And new paper tape from 7Gypsies:
And these wonderful metal birds perched on bright wooden stands arrived just before we closed today.
I think you all need to come in and see what we have and while you are here you can sign up for all the wonderful classes at our store during the next few weeks and months: Barbe Saint John, Ingrid Dijkers and Leighanna Light are first up. Don't miss any of them.
I can't wait to see what you do with the Torso. I know it will be Awesome. I have the Dylusion sprays and they are gorgeous colors....love love love them. Nice tape from 7 Gypsies and love the birds too....they look like Kelly Rae Roberts birds. Thanks for posting all your goodies from the store.

It'll be fun seeing what you come up with for the torso! Sometimes a creative challenge with restrictions, like the "minmum of 80% recycled, reused, repurposed material" can be quite fun!
Forces a person to stretch their creative muscles I think!!
I am working my way backwards through your posts. I've been peering in quietly but been a little busy.
Everything looks so fresh and fun with your store's new stock! Yay!

My doll guild is doing the same challenge but as a round robin. This is the 3rd month.
We got the idea from an online group of women. Trash It Out was the name of their round robin.
