Annual Fam Jam

Once again we were lucky enough to be invited to the Pritchard's annual "Fam Jam". The Pritchards are a very musical family who just love making joyful noise together along with friends. Gayle Pritchard who is an awesome artist is also a fabulous hostess. We were greeted as we arrived by a long line of candles flickering in the smow.

There was also a table laden with delicious holiday nibbles, but the best part was the conversation and the music.

Above is Chris Pritchard, his daughter Hailey singing and son-in-law Rob on the right also playing the guitar. Hailey has a beautiful voice. Below you can see Cletus Black (a well-loved local Blues singer) singing one of his original songs. He has such a presence.
It was a lovely evening and lots of fun.Thanks for including us.

Speaking of lucky, do you know what this is?

What we have at Small Studio is a collection of 1940s radios and tubes. John has to clean them all up, but they will be in store soon. Thanks Keir.

Merry Christmas All

We had a lovely Holiday spending Christmas Eve at my son Tim's home with his wife's wonderful.large family. Christmas Day Tim, Karen and the boys came to our house and we had a leisurely and fun game day. We did miss our other 4 kids and families though. Wish we all lived in the same town so we could get together more often.

Here was the road today as we drove home from the store, closing early because of blizzard warnings.

So today we have an unexpected day of relaxation, all snug and warm in our house, just the two of us. I hope your holiday was wonderful.

Small Studio Today

We had our store open house today and it was a lovely success. I really, really enjoyed seeing so many old friends and new, so many former customers and new. Thank you. THANK YOU for sharing the day and supporting our shop. We so appreciate all of you.

We had refreshments.

We made a forest of S.A.R. trees. So cute. Thank you Aimee Kluiber for running the back room Make & Take.

I posted this photo on Facebook, but wanted the rest of you to see the package I wrapped using common Kraft paper, pretty ribbon, script tape and paper feathers, all from Small Studio. I love this package.

Last, but foremost, Congratulations to Kurtis and Michelle. May your life together be filled with love, laughter and much happiness.

Odds and Ends

1. Creepy Baby Head, a Michael deMeng demo piece, has been traveling again all over the house. While we had Thanksgiving company, Creepy Baby Head would show up in all sorts of odd and random places.

2. I made lasagna over the weekend. Please note that this was NOT Kelsey's recipe. It was my mom's.
