On this day of more shootings, this time in DC, we went to the movies to escape the real world. We were not familiar with any of the currently playing flicks and so picked "The Family" for the cast. First we had to sit through 20 minutes of previews with pounding music and gunfire, fist fights, buildings exploding and deafening noise. Then the movie came on. Great cast, great acting, but over the top violence. Why is anyone surprised that young people are shooting and killing? Violence is part of their everyday life on TV, the movies and their games all accessible on their smart phones 24/7. I am so done with it all. Shame on the producers. Shame on us for paying to see this garbage.
